More than Walls: Rebuilding Sound, Restoring Culture and Future

Storm Kristin destroyed SOM's spaces where dance, music, theater, and arts education activities take place. Help us rebuild this essential community space.

Storm Kristin destroyed SOM's spaces where dance, music, theater, and arts education activities take place. Help us rebuild this essential community space.

Storm Kristin left deep scars on Sport Operário Marinhense. In a single moment, the spaces where culture, education, and intergenerational interaction take place daily were compromised.

This is where many took their first steps in dance.
This is where music was heard for the first time.
This is where stories were performed on stage.
And it is here that many of our seniors find companionship, activity, and well-being.

Today, that space is damaged.
And with it, much more than just walls and ceilings are at risk.

The access of dozens of children and young people to specialized arts education in an integrated system , which integrates artistic training into their school curriculum, is at risk.
The continuation of dance, music, and theater activities is at risk.
And an essential space for meeting and inclusion for our community is at risk.

But we believe that together we can rebuild.

Every contribution is a step towards returning this space to the community.
Every bit of support helps ensure that no student is left without their artistic journey.
Every gesture allows the culture to continue to live.

We're not just rebuilding a building.
We are rebuilding a place where people learn, create, share, and grow.

👉 Help us bring sound back to life.

Explanatory Note

The presented budget is based on a well-founded technical estimate, appropriate to the scale of the intervention, encompassing the complete restoration of the affected spaces and their adaptation to the requirements of specialized artistic education and cultural and social activities.

The intervention incorporates solutions aimed at strengthening the building's resilience , particularly in terms of the roof, windows, and more exposed elements, with the goal of mitigating the impact of future inclement weather.

The allocation of funds ensures a balance between structural, functional, and finishing components, including a margin for unforeseen expenses, which is essential in projects of this nature.

The amount presented is a baseline estimate and may be supplemented by other funding sources if necessary during implementation.

Project Scheduling

The project is scheduled to be executed over a period of 5 months , allowing for a structured, efficient, and technically sound intervention that ensures not only the restoration of the spaces but also the reinforcement of their resistance to future weather conditions.

The intervention follows the principle of rebuilding better, ensuring greater resistance and future sustainability of the infrastructure , particularly through the reinforcement of elements most exposed to adverse weather phenomena.
