Stained glass window arrangement of Saint Augustine; broken by Storm Kristin in January 2026.
The parish church of Pataias will celebrate its 75th anniversary next year, 2027. This would be an opportune time to have the church repaired after it was devastated by the storm.
The church has a Latin cross floor plan, with a nave, upper choir, three altars, and a baptismal font. In the main altar, at the center, is the tabernacle, the cross of Christ with a fresco depicting the ascension of Jesus to heaven. Also on the main altar, to the left, are images of Our Lady of Hope, and to the right, that of Queen Saint Isabel. On the left altar are images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Saint Sebastian, and Saint Paul. On the right altar are images of Our Lady of Fatima, Saint Joseph, and Saint Anthony. Along the central nave, there are 14 tile panels placed during the church's construction, donated by parishioners, representing the Stations of the Cross. It underwent restoration work in 2004, and in December 2011, its churchyard was renovated.
Stained glass windows were installed during the restoration work in 2004.
The image of Saint Augustine was broken.
There was other damage to the church; the most significant damage was to two stained-glass windows.
