This Breve Leonardo’s first book, “O Timbre e o Silêncio” ( The Timbre and The Silence), scheduled for release in April 2015, "happens" with the same spontaneity that there are about five years I started sharing my poetic texts in A Barca dos Amantes blog, place where, since then, I publish as regularly as possible, and that a substantial part is in this first volume comprising the periods, October 2009 to October 2010.

"I came to tell you what I know about his work, but I found most worthwhile alert them about poetry he performs. Since now know that he comes from the horizon, nude dress, with clean hands, chest as a window, the window in his eyes, in flight over the sea of words, like an explorer of our most intimate emotions and his name is Breve Leonardo, but the name does not matter ", as Betina Moraes writes in the text of the book cover; and from what I can underline, what it matters are the words, "reflection", contemplation and dialogue, where the word "happens" ... in this case the book, the first book; and the next volumes they will depend on the success of "O Timbre e o Silêncio", this risk that I accept, believing that each one of you also write this book, backing him up!

About the author

Born in 1969 in Almada, B.Leonardo (pseud.) now lives in a village in the interior of Portugal.

The first poetic text dates from 1984, and under the pseudonym Richard S., who collaborated in the DN Jovem irregularly, until he moved to the Algarve in 1990 for professional reasons.

Later, living in northern Portugal, he collaborated in das artes e das letras, cultural supplement of O Primeiro de Janeiro, until the reformulation of the newspaper. In 2009, he starts blogging in Na Linha das Fonteiras and later in A Barca dos Amantes, where he shares his writing regularly to date. Since then, he had several collaborations in digital magazines, and in addition he'd prefaced the books of Marlene Severino, Além do Quintal (Brazil, 2011) and Suzana Guimarães, dOloreS (USA, 2014),

Still in 2014, two texts of Leonardo B. will be published in the book Clepsydra (ed. Stuff Read) poetry anthology edited by Gisela Ramos Rosa, which will gather texts of about 90 poets, of various nationalities.
