Perimenopause can begin as early as age 35. It brings insomnia, anxiety, hot flashes, brain fog, mood swings, and changes in libido. And yet, almost no one has explained to us what it is.
This project was born because I couldn't find the book I needed. So I decided to create it.
What am I going to do?
1. The missing book
An honest, scientific, and taboo-free guide, featuring interviews with experts in gynecology, endocrinology, nutrition, psychology, and physical exercise. It includes practical tips, debunks myths, and real-life testimonials from Portuguese women. A perfect read, highlight, and gift for your doctor, your friend, or your partner.
2. The Digression Before the Break
Let's take this conversation outside the book. 5 cities, 5 ninety-minute meetings with invited local experts. A safe space to ask questions, listen, and realize you're not alone. With anonymous questions, because there are questions we're ashamed to ask out loud.

Our goal is 7,500 euros.
With 6,000 euros we wrote, revised, laid out, and printed 1,000 copies of the book.
If we reach 9,500 euros, we'll launch the full national tour, with venues, sound system, and guest artists.
Every contribution, even the smallest, helps to break a silence that has lasted for decades.

Hi, I'm Patricia.
I've been a journalist for almost three decades, a certified Life & Business Coach, and the creator of MooxybyPatrícia, a store selling handmade products made by me and my mother. And I'm currently going through perimenopause. When I searched for answers, I encountered silence, shame, and a lot of misinformation.
I decided to bring together experts, real stories, and practical tools into a book that I wish I had received. And to take this conversation on tour around the country, because none of us should go through this alone.

Budget and due dates
BUDGET - Where does every euro go?
I am 100% transparent. If I raise more than the goal, the extra money will go towards more cities on the tour.
Goal 1 - €6,000 - The book happens
* Editing, proofreading, and layout: €1,500 • Cover and interior design: €800 • Printing of 1,000 copies: €3,000 • ISBN, registration, and PPL platform fees - 8% + VAT: €700
Goal 2 - €9,500 - Book + National Tour - 5 cities
* All of the above: €6,000 • Room rental, sound system and travel expenses: €1,500 • Symbolic payment to guest experts: €1,000 • Promotional material and shipping: €1,000
If we exceed €9,500, every extra €500 means one more city on the tour.
SCHEDULING - When it happens
October 2026: Crowdfunding campaign live.
November 2026: Final writing and interviews with experts. Sharing behind-the-scenes details with supporters.
December 2026: Scientific review and text revision
January 2027: Design, pagination and final cover
February 2027: Sent to the printing press and printing.
March 2027: Books received and rewards sent to supporters. Online launch.
April and May 2027: Tour Before the Break - 5 cities - Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Braga and Faro - dates to be announced according to sponsorship and venues.
All supporters receive monthly email updates and access to the project's private group.
