Adapting a vehicle for people with reduced mobility - Enhancing PCDI participation / self-determination.
The APCV - Cerebral Palsy Association in Viseu – Portugal, would like to adapt a vehicle for people with disabilities with reduced mobility by applying a lifting platform.
Building on Romeu Kazumi Sassaki's famous quote "Nothing About Us Without Us": From Integration to Inclusion , this technical assistance will enable APCV members with reduced mobility to actively participate in governing bodies forums, workshops, and meetings with government representatives, social partners and stakeholders. In summary it will enable people with disabilities to play an active role in the fight for citizenship rights and fight against the prejudice of persons with disabilities who still remain at alarming levels in several levels of social life. This project, through the creation of conditions for the individual participation of people with reduced mobility, will allow to influence the political and social power for this theme in a logic of promoting equal opportunities.
