The objective of the campaign is to buy the materials for printing and assembly of reusable visors and masks with filters and distribute them to hospitals in the region of Leiria.
With the spread of Covid-19 in Portugal and the high demand for masks and visors for health professionals in our hospitals. Daily we are warned in the news, about the lack of gloves and masks and visors for health professionals in our hospitals, with that comes the feelings of helplessness and that feeling of frustration.
I started researching how I could help combat Covid-19, during my research and phone calls to hospitals, I was told that visors and masks would be very useful in hospitals.
So together with my wife and family, we decided to join our knowledge and willingness to help, we are asking for your help in the manufacture of reusable visors and masks.
We hope that with the money raised we will be able to manufacture more than 1000 visors and 1000 reusable masks, which we will distribute to hospitals in the Leiria region and send to other hospitals that are lacking in protective materials.
At the moment the material I have at home for my 3D printer is not enough to print that amount.
The money will be used to purchase 3D printer filaments and acrylic for mounting the visor, as well as printing the reusable mask body, where the filters are fitted.
