Hexaseed is a fully automated watering system based on a hexagon module capable of delivering fresh herbs and small vegetables to the consumer. But how will it do that?
The hexagonal’s hollow structure allows the water to flow through the hexagon while dripping some of it on the soil. The module’s unique design also contains both male and female exits so you’re able to connect with other hexagons. This way, you can build your own watering system that can be placed on the surface of any flowerpot (vase).
The water flow is controlled by a smart valve, outside of the vase, where the user can specify the type of plants, the shape and the size of the vase, which will define the watering conditions. The system will water each type of plant differently, according to their class.
In the middle of the module, there’s an empty space that is filled with a capsule filled with enriched soil and some seeds covered in a thin soluble plastic layer. So, when you place the capsules and the water starts flowing, the plastic will dissolve and the seeds will start growing.
Once the plant is fully developed and harvested you can pop the old capsule out and place a new one.
