Storm Kristin devastated the central region. The firefighters from Minde were there, showing courage despite obsolete or nonexistent equipment. Their determination never fails — but their equipment does. We are counting on your donation

Courage has never failed us. But a lack of resources prevents us from reaching where we need to be.

The Minde Volunteer Firefighters have been on the front lines supporting the population, facing fires, accidents, floods, and emergency situations. Recently, extreme weather events have placed even more pressure on our response capacity, highlighting weaknesses that can no longer be ignored.

Currently, essential equipment is either lacking or insufficient, compromising the safety of operations and the effectiveness of rescue efforts. We are talking about fundamental tools for search and rescue, intervention in collapsed structures, flood control, and victim recovery.

The goal of this campaign is to raise the necessary funds to acquire priority equipment that will significantly improve our response capacity and, above all, save lives.

Every contribution makes a difference. By supporting this campaign, you are directly helping those who protect your community every day, without schedules or breaks.

Together, we can ensure that, when needed, we will be there — with the right resources.

About the author

The Minde Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association is a non-profit institution, founded on June 14, 1973, with an essential role in the protection and safety of the population.

With over 50 years of service, the corporation operates in the municipality of Alcanena and surrounding areas, located within the Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park, a region of great environmental and tourist value, which reinforces the importance of its mission in protecting people, heritage and nature.

It provides support in various emergency situations, including fires, road accidents, pre-hospital medical emergencies, floods, and search and rescue operations.

Currently, it has around 70 volunteer firefighters, men and women who balance their professional and personal lives with the commitment to serve the community, ensuring a permanent, rapid and effective response.

Over the years, the association has established itself as a fundamental pillar in the local and national civil protection system, basing its actions on dedication, professionalism and a sense of mission.
