Côdo Cloçon Mu is a project established under the NGO WACT that aims to promote active citizenship in São Tomé among children from 8 to 14 years-old through music and arts.
This project aims to promote the active participation of children in the several dimensions of civil society, such as the integration in youth organizations and their inclusion in the active solution of social issues, resorting to music and arts as we believe these are the most efective means of expression to discuss social matters and to create a universal awareness about relevant topics. In music and arts we find a motivating, interactive and engaging means to raise awareness and educate children and teenagers about the social problems that exist in São Tomé's community, in which they belong and they have the ability to act upon.

To promote active citizenship we will create a recreational and cultural educational program aimed at children of compulsory education from 8 to 14 years-old, that will be set on three main activities - musical expression and creation, expression and creation through visual arts and creation of musical instruments with recyclable materials. The project will end up with a final show with all participants of the project and the creation of a CD that will be kept within the communities.
