Bô Caçó- Rehabilitation of abused and abandoned dogs with canine obedience training. Training of people with deafness into dog trainers and a team of cinotechnics to raise awareness in schools and alternative therapies.
Inserted in the project Spirit'18 - Training in Entrepreneurship and Social Intervention, the "Bô Caçó" (YOUR DOG) project was created to rehabilitate and insert abandoned dogs in society through canine obedience training. Deaf people (trainees) will become dog trainers through the formed binomials (deaf/dog). After the training of these dogs, a team of cinotechnics is formed to support campaigns of awareness in schools and support alternative therapies.
This way, our motivation will be to combat maltreatment and abandonment of dogs and, at the same time, provide people with deafness with a means to promote their self-esteem and social integration in the environment they are inserted.
"BÔ CAÇÓ" aims to create bases for the improvement of public health, to promote healthy dogs and respect for animal rights, the training of cinotechnical collaborators will promote the use of these dogs in alternative therapies and, thus, changing the attitude and the behavior of the community in relation to street dogs, leading them to welcome and take better care of animals.
For this project to come to life this financial support is needed for the inherent costs. In Portugal, I move through the passion of my profession and the changes that I see happening through my work and dedication to others. I believe that in São Tomé there can also be these transformations for the people, with the people themselves and those who are undoubtedly Man's best friends: the dogs.
