UMBRA #6 will be released this Spring, around the time of a comic book festival to be announced. Again, it will feature stories by Portuguese and international authors, plus more surprises.

UMBRA #6 will launch in 2026 with another crowdfunding campaign, scheduled for release next Spring. As has been the custom in previous initiatives, we will be announcing its contents over the coming months, with previews of the work of the authors involved in this issue, on social media and at events dedicated to comics. We continue the saga begun in the previous issue, authored by Fernando Relvas , "KRIZ3" - The Lord of Whispers - episode 2" , a series interrupted with the end of Tintin magazine in the 1980s. In our introductions, we have discussed the exciting work of restoring and researching almost lost classics, bringing together young contemporary artists with older authors in our editions. Returning to UMBRA publications is author João Sequeira (who was in UMBRA No. 1 - Estrada da Coca-Cola, with a script by João Chambel) with The Lord of Music , in writing partnership with Miguel Garcia. But it is in the foreign presence of this issue that we surprise once again. This time we bring from the far end of the world, New Zealand, author Scott Base, with Kali Wakes, a space drama by an artist who insists on saying that he loves drawing astronauts. And we already have more of his stories promised for future editions. Finally, Tokushige Kawakatsu – Story of a Cat. We really wanted to take a risk by introducing Japanese comics, Manga, here in a mystery/horror style, thus venturing into genres that are less common in our work. You'll be able to tell us if the gamble paid off! The cover for this issue is being created by graphic artist Pedro Potier .

UMBRA's goals for this year are ambitious. We started earlier because we had these stories available. Meanwhile, we are already preparing the next issue, UMBRA #7, which will be released in October. This is because we want to give something more to the readers who have accompanied us on this cosmic journey for 7 years; without them, nothing would be possible. Let's move forward, the future is now. UMBRA!!

The monetary goal for the 6th issue of Umbra is €2000 for its production. This will allow us to print 600 copies, as in previous editions. Here's the breakdown: printing will cost €1815.50, platform commission fees will be €184.50, total: €2000. We hope to surpass this amount with your enthusiasm and commitment. The anthology will measure 270 mm x 190 mm (height x width), will be printed in black and white on 120g IOR paper, color cover on 260g cardstock and 80 mm wide, laminated flaps; sewn and glued binding at the spine with a French crease. 112 pages of excellent comics. Printing will begin in March, after February, when this crowdfunding campaign takes place, along with the usual announcements on our social media channels, where we will be sharing news and details about the edition. Specifically, we will include biographies and previews of the works of the authors featured in this issue.
