Ali é Tória is Luísa Osório's debut play! It premieres on September 12th, and we need your help to make it happen!

SYNOPSIS
Ali é Tória is a play about two characters' journey to the site of a seemingly random anomaly that scrambled and distributed some of the meanings and senses of planet Earth. Unsure whether it is an anomaly in the cosmic, random sense, or caused by man or another type of intelligence, João and Júlia embark on a journey with the same goal but different objectives, introducing us to this new, seemingly "bubblegum" version of the world. They also unravel what they believe to be humanity's past, generating ridiculous interpretations for fragments of current history (what is war? What is climate change? What is love? What was the role of parents?). Raised by guardians/humanoid versions, these characters, belonging to Generation 0, reflect on their present, conspire about their past, and project a future where the world would be what, unbeknownst to them, it is today. Themes such as meanings; artificial intelligence; climate change; quantum physics; perceived reality and imagined reality; the random; politics.
"Ali é Toria" is a new possibility of ending/or of how to begin again, arising from the weariness of the constant presentation of current content, of chaos, catastrophe, end, death itself, and the death of hope. However, not everything is as rosy as it seems.

STARTING POINT...
A tiny Italian town, Toria, is believed to have been the birthplace of this transformation that led to the replacement of the planet's fundamental meanings. An imaginary world now prevails, one that eschews the idea of eschatology, inspired by pop narratives and cartoon bubblegum. Installed on two treadmills, the two characters also seem to come from different worlds, highlighting one's surrender to the new reality and the other's obsession with the past and the search for the reasons behind this change. The underlying idea remains that this intervention created a world born from the mind of a child, or from the mind of an adult who creates stories for children, masking without erasing the concepts of evil, the end, catastrophe, deception, manipulation, and selfishness.
