O Sarilho is a comic in which an alien gets shot in the face four times and for some reason that starts a war!

A satellite crashed in Lusitania, in enemy territory. A small team is sent on a mission to recover it... But when they arrive, they soon discover that the satellite was not the only thing that crashed in Arouca after all. And that other thing – whatever it is – is alive.
The third volume of O Sarilho takes a two-year leap from the events of the second volume, now follows the point of view of Lusitânia, where the satellite crashed. After a frustrated fight against the invaders of the Meditan empire, tensions escalate into open conflict and the Lusitanians must adapt to survive. It is in this climate that Ângela, a medical student working at the Academia's morgue, discovers a corpse that thinks... Inhuman thoughts.
Sarilho is a webcomic and, as such, can be read for free on the internet, at https://sarilho.net/en/ .
This campaign aims to crowdfund the third volume of the saga, which includes its fifth and sixth chapters: The Foreigner and Revelations. These chapters gives the perspective of the other side of the conflict, and follow the awakening of the Foreigner - the creature that crashed two years ago in Arouca - and the repercussions of such a "miracle" among the Lusitanian people. These chapters have been and will be published from June 2020 to October 2022, at approximately two pages per week. In other words: the third volume has unpublished material!
And for those who still don't know the story, the previous volumes will also be included in the rewards :)
Although d'O Sarilho was designed primarily for the digital medium, the value of having things in physical format cannot be overlooked: hence the important leap to print! As publishing things on my own is still a laborious and expensive process, this campaign is exclusively for raising funds to print as many copies as possible. After all, you have to spread the story to all corners of the country to reach all you comicbook lovers out there!

If this campaign makes it to €3000, all backers will receive a digital artbook containing O Sarilho art, concept sketches, ideas and some of my musings... And should you want a physical copy of said artbook, you can just raise your pledge by €10.

What about the shipping?
Shipping is included in the pledge amount, so make sure you select the correct option (there's options for shipping to Portugal and to the rest of the world).
What if I also want copies of a different volume?
You can either raise the pledge on your volume III or pledge twice! There's an option for that :)

Comecei pelas encomendas nacionais, estou agora a tratar dos envios para a Europa e, em seguida, para o resto do mundo. Esta última parte poderá demorar-me um pouco mais devido a algumas mudanças no funcionamento dos correios (isso e esgotei os envelopes em 3 aldeias), mas nada temeis! As some of you may know, I am sending out the physical rewards. I started with the portuguese batch first, then international orders for europe, and finally for everywhere else in the world. This last batch is gonna give me a little more work (and take more time) because of some unforeseen changes to mailing rules around here, but nothing to be worried about! I have so many books in my place right now it is a mess and truly I hope you will all get yours as soon as possible! :D So keep an eye out for mail!

Em termos de progresso das recompensas físicas, estou a pensar em mais maneiras de vos compensar pela espera... As for the physical rewards, I am thinking on more ways to compensate you since this is taking way longer than planned... I had to make some decisions regarding the paper for print because of the paper shortages and I'm currently waiting on a new test copy to see how it holds. But production times are super long, raw materials are also nowhere to be seen... Terrible timing on my part, I presume. But I'll let you know how the new copy looks as soon as I get it!! And thank you so much your for your kind patience, this has been driving me nuts.

Sei que já passou algum tempo desde a última vez que deixei aqui notícias. Entretanto, posso dizer que todos os documentos estão prontos, todas as recompensas estão preparadas, falta é... Pôr no papel! Essa tarefa é que já está um bocado mais difícil - com a falta (mundial) de papel, os orçamentos que pedi antes de fazer a campanha desactualizaram, e vi-me obrigada a contactar um sem-número de gráficas para pedidos de orçamento novos. O que também implica fazer novas cópias de teste, e tudo isso levou tempo... Posso dizer que encontrei uma com uma relação qualidade-preço muito amigável e estou agora no processo de encontrar o tipo de papel que melhor responda às necessidades da impressão (são muitas imagens!) e que esteja... disponível... Não tem sido tarefa fácil - não fiquei muito satisfeita com as primeiras provas - mas estamos no caminho certo, gente! Acho que já ultrapassámos a parte mais difícil.
A minha ideia inicial era entregas as recompensas digitais ao mesmo tempo que as físicas. Mas considerando os atrasos, acho que nunca fez tanto sentido enviar recompensas digitais. Vou tratar disso o mais rapidamente possível :)

Howdy!
I know, I know. It's been a while since I last gave you any updates. Meanwhile, I can confidently say I have worked out the final versions of all the rewards, and now all there is left is for me to... Get them printed! And this turned out to be the hardest step - with the (global) shortage of paper, the budgets I previously asked have since become outdated, so I had to contact a number of printing places again to get new ones. Which also included making some test copies here and there to check for the printing quality, and all of that took time... I can confidently say I have found a printing place with a very friendly price-quality ratio and I am currently working into finding the best paper for all this very ink-heavy books. While also being a paper that is, well... available... This hasn't been an easy task - I'm not super happy at some of my past proofs - but I feel we're finally on the right path, fellows! I want to believe the hardest part is behind us.
Now, my initial plan was to deliver the digital rewards at the same time as the physical ones. However, considering all of these delays, I think it's about time I just send you those first. I'll see to that ASAP :)

Ora bem!
A campanha terminou, os fundos já cá chegaram, agora só nos resta passar à fase seguinte: imprimir muitos livros! A campanha correu muito melhor do que previa, pelo que não só vou poder imprimir muito mais cópias do volume 3 que as que tinha planeado e reeditar os volumes anteriores (os meus stocks mal chegam para cobrir as encomendas da campanha). Adicionalmente, há também que tratar das recompensas extra, uma vez que são efectivamente conteúdos adicionais que terei de criar de propósito para vos mandar.
Como os livros em si já estão mais que terminados e testados, é mesmo só eu terminar os extras e depois esperar pela produção. Gostava de ter isso pronto até ao final do mês, por isso vamos ver no que dá (porém não escrevam isto na pedra, é mais um desejo que um objectivo).
Mais uma vez lembro que deverão preencher este formulário: https://forms.gle/JZpWNgQnXs2wdXyk9 para especificar em que língua querem as recompensas, e quais. Eu já fiz um levantamento das respostas, mas convém sempre confirmar, especialmente porque fui acrescentando mais possibilidades à medida que foram aparecendo mais recompensas extra e alguns de vocês preencheram o formulário antes dessas opções estarem disponíveis.

Well well well!
The campaign is over and the funds are already with me, so now all we have to do is move on to the next phase: get many many books printed! The campaign went a lot better than I antecipated, so I will be printing a lot more copies of book 3 than I thought I'd be able too, and also print some more copies of the previous books (I mean, my stock's hardly able to fulfil this campaign's demands at this moment...). Furthermore, I have to take care of the extra rewards, and I expect that to be the first labourious task in front of me since they involve actually creating new content just for you guys.
I've already printed tests for the books themselves before starting the campaign, so I really just need to get these extras out of the way and then it's production+shipping times. Now, I'd like to have the production part over by the end of May, but that might be only in my dreams.
I once again would like to bring attention to this form https://forms.gle/JZpWNgQnXs2wdXyk9 which you can fill to let me know about your rewards preferences, namely in which language you want them, or which extras, if any, you'd like to get. I've gone through the answers already, but it's always nice to have some confirmation from some of you who may have filled previous versions of the form (that didn't include all the extra rewards).
