Being young and entrepreneurial isn´t easy. I started Som à Letra as a blog in 2009, with the objective of turning it into a webjournal. At the beginning I didn´t have team, neither many readers.
At January 2010 everything changes when I decided to create a facebook for the project. I started publishing news, songs, and an engagement with the public started. Results: a community was born, since today.
The project has been increasing since their beginning, so we created other specialities (som tv, som fm, civic som). The social responsibility was crucial to decide to create the young association Inclusom that works with people who are “left” by society due to their mental, or physic problems.
Inclusom asssociation involves the individual in activities which stimulate communication, culture, respect and solidarity with each another. It is an association open to the community, which in its activities covers both people said "normal", but also people with HIV, Down Syndrome, psychological disorders and other forms of social exclusion.
The main goal for now is to raise funds for the association register in order to formalize Som à letra as its official journal. The money will be left over to help the party that celebrates four years of the project, to be held on 21 September (this is the first event that we perform on behalf of the Som à letra ), celebrating everything that was being won over the last years. Your action will still help to begin the process of acquiring material for the association (such as a digital recorder). These are important contributions to our formal start.
It is a youth association centered on information, education and training of citizens:
- Cultural Journalism
- Volunteer (on IPSS associated with Som à Letra)
- Social Entertainment
- Social Entrepreneurship
- Radio-journalism in the digital age
- TV-Journalism in the Digital Age
