After three years dedicated to rock classics, Shutter Down defined as the main goal for 2015, recording an album of original songs, which have been made since 2013.

Shutter Down started as a Rock Covers band and since the beginning they have been working on original songs that will be available on their debut album entitled "Awake".

The first advance of these original songs is the latest single "THE EDGE OF DOMINATION" wich videoclip will be released at March 1st on the Internet. With this single the band wants to show the essence of the album.

The album will have three steps: the first one, which already started, is the pre-production that will be finished in late April; the second one will begin in June with the recording and capture and the third one will started in August with the mixing and mastering of the album. There is still no scheduled date for the launch but is expected to be around November / December 2015.

The goal of this project is about half of the total costs of the record and they are intended to cover the record mix and master expenses. The production, recording and manufacturing of the first edition will be supported by the band.

The supporters of this project will receive updates of all stages of this album (Pre-production - Recording - Mastering) and in the end of the process, they'll get the rewards. Note that all the design available materials (CD Artwork, T-Shirts, Poster, Stickers and Pins) will be performed by vocalist Sergio Maia.

 

About the author

Shutter Down is a Rock Covers band formed in 2011 with Jorge Pinto in Bass, Andrew Zumckeller on Lead guitar, Carlos Andrade on rhythm guitar, Sergio Maia on vocals and André Lázaro on drums. The band already has in its curriculum more than a hundred concerts all over the country and some in Spain. Some of these concerts were in Academic Weeks, Motards Reunions, Solidarity Cerimonies, 2014/2015 New Year's Eve party hosted by the Câmara Municipal de Viseu, Feira de S. Mateus as well as bars, clubs and associations.

Therefore, and since the band's philosophy is based on principles such as innovation, entrepreneurship and ambition, was defined as main goal for 2015, the recording of an album of original songs.
