A project for the future of fado.

This project crosses over classical and fado music as a tribute to Severa, a famous fado singer of the 19th century. Ana Barros (soprano) and Bruno Belthoise (piano) explore new aesthetic, visual and thematic approaches, starting with the traditional fado and developing it in an original way with the collaboration of the Portuguese contemporary composers/arrangers Carlos Marecos, Sérgio Azevedo and Carlos Azevedo.

This CD has the support of Fado Museum (hence the logo "Fado — Heritage of Humanity"), João Braga (artistic adviser), Rui Vieira Nery (scientific adviser), Antena 2 and Instituto Camões.

The CD is already recorded. We are looking forward to reach our €2500 goal to produce it in the next two months. Several concerts are being prepared, one of them in Fado Museum (Lisbon).
