"CATITAS AND THE EMOTIONS" is a collection of 6 books, children's stories targeted to children aged between 5 and 9 years. Teach what are the primary emotions, what it feels like and how to deal with each of them, Anger, Joy, Disgust, Fear, Sadness and Surprise. Every emotion corresponds a book that consists of a story, the more psycho-pedagogical activities related to the respective emotion.
With tales of the collection, "CATITAS AND THE EMOTIONS" and aims to:
Provide a tool that can help explain what are the emotions, what can happen and what it feels like when you are under the control of each emotion.
They are a support to assist parents and educators in helping their Educandos understand, internalize and know manage emotions when they arise, ie help promote emotional education of children.
That by working each book together, parents and children have the opportunity to know each other better, therefore, is an educational activity for everyone.
For this purpose, the end of each count, there is always a set of activities that can be done together and to promote Emotional INTELLIGENCE, i.e., the ability to know reflecting action.
This is a work of great relevance by their scientific and technical quality but also for its innovation in terms of theme and approach. It has great interest to the entire educational community, students, parents, educators and teachers.

About the author
Isabel Soares, also known as Drª. Catita. She has a degree in psychology and master's degree in educational psychology. Develops his professional activity as a psychologist, school counselor and behavioral, and also as a trainer. Working with children and adolescents with learning and / or behavior, always a systemic approach with parents, educators and teachers.
While Drª. Catita, has psycho-pedagogical projects in particular targeted projects for the development of critical thinking through art. These projects are developed in schools with children of pre-school and first cycle.
In their daily work, as an educational psychologist, he realized that there is a large deficit EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. This work implies that this is one of the causes that can lead to dropout because in addition to the difficulties of learning content, there is the difficulty in dealing with the emotions caused by the challenges of life and school.
To encourage the creation of more efficient and effective study methods created a Facebook page where in sharing school term, daily, cheat sheets on various subjects. Initially were the Portuguese of cheat sheets at the beginning of the school year will continue with the math. This daily sharing were several requests for the material to be compiled and published as a book. Thus were born the cheat sheets Drª. Catita:. Cheat sheets to study Portuguese in primary education. To promote the emotional intelligence of the smallest, he wrote a collection of six books, "OS CATITAS AND THE EMOTIONS", (directed children's stories for children aged between 5 and 9 years).
Budget and due dates
This is a copyright issue. Funds raised will be allocated to pay the layout, illustration and printing of 6 books in the collection THE Quaint and EMOTIONS, as well as the commission of 5% of PPL. Filing fees, book transport to launch and send the supporters will be due to the author.
