Näz is a contemporary clothing brand for women that identify themselves with a modern, ethical & conscious lifestyle. We’re asking for help to set up our atelier and to help pay for the machines we use to sew YOUR clothes!
By buying Näz you are actually buying a piece that will have a positive social impact, and getting a product that combines contemporary design and fashion trends with a minimalist aesthetic that adapts to the day-to-day of the consumer always having as constant concern for the comfort and quality.
Our fabrics come from production surpluses and samples from Portuguese factories, reducing our environmental footprint because we do not produce fabrics, we increase the life of them, otherwise, would probably go to landfills and, at the same time, we help small national companies because, what would be stock leftovers, is sold to us at a fair and profitable price for the company.
Our buttons are also from a Portuguese company, Louropel, and we use only the recycled range of them, they have mosaic, paper, cotton and even coffee grounds! Even the threads we use to sew are mostly remnants of large companies!
Our atelier is located in Covilhã, it's located in "Serra da Estrela" Mountains, that used to have a lot of textile factories that closed. We chose to work here because it is an area with high unemployment of older people that used to work in factories, mainly in the textile area, and, with our own production, we intend to create jobs for these people! For some companies they are "unskilled" employees but for us they have a lot of knowledge!
We are currently establishing partnerships with small companies here, one of them for textile recycling, which will not only recycle the small leftovers from our own production, but also provide us with recycled wool yarn so we can make fabric in another factory with the same thread.
The pieces are available in several multi-brand physical stores both nationally and internationally and briefly online!
We are seeking help to reduce our costs with the start of our own production (buying the machines) so that we can focus and invest more in creating new products and building a website where you can see all of our suply chain, we want to film every factory, so that, even you, on the other side of the world, can understand all the process behind making you clothes!
