Defrog presents 2016 artworks on his first individual exhibition in 16 different places in Portugal. From 16th until 23rd November, 2016.

Multiple exhibition presented simultaneously in 16 different places of Portugal located in the following areas: Lisboa, Cascais, Setúbal, Santarém, Caldas da Raínha, Porto and Amarante.

This exhibition is inspired by the concept of Multiverse that many theorists have argued from several theories such as the Quantic Theory, the Relativity Theory, the Strings Theory and the Space-time concept.

It thus emerged the concept of a multispacial and multivalent exhibition where the artist will be presenting 2016 artworks addressing 8 themes divided by 16 places[1]. Each gallery will be presenting 126 artworks for 7 days. Each two galleries will have the same theme.

The themes

Refugee’s Crisis throughout History; Environmental Crisis; Human Tracffiking; Global corruption; Pornography Industry; Elder abandonment; Homophobia, Xenophobia and Racism.

About the author

Emanuman Defrog was born in Lisbon in 1987. He has a Bachelor Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia - Escola Superior de Educação and a Master's Degree in Teaching Visual Arts in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education - Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias.

Defrog's work is multifaceted, covering a wide range of artistic intervention in the fields of painting, drawing, sculpture, video and assembly. The artist reuses everyday objects and municipal solid waste to make his pieces of art, such as shoes, wine bottles, bags, mirrors, among others.
