I was part of the former fanfare of Parachute. This year in May, me and some comrades had the opportunity to relive the troop times and return for a week to attend a unit of day ceremony and celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Paratroopers. The fanfare was abolished a few years ago and has always been an important symbol in the history of Skydivers, so the unit commander had the bright idea to try to re-join the fanfare for one last time enhance a ceremony. The objective was achieved. 50 former soldiers, from various parts of the world, joined one last time for a week in the barracks where we serve, to rehearse for the ceremony. Many of us had left the military life for over 2 decades.
Being an important event, we decided to immortalize this week in a book. And since the 40 years that lasted the fanfare, there was never any document referring to it, we decided to include this same book about the history of fanfare. Whether for photos and / or old documents.
And how the book will be "almost" official and score some nearly 50,000 paratroopers, we do not have any kind of sponsorship for editing. So we need to help to make this our little project. The book will have about 130 pages, which reports what happened during that week experienced by us as well as show a little of our history.
