This project aims to self-publish an illustrated guide / visual dictionary for the wonderful city of Lisbon!
"LISBOA the illustrated guide" is a personal project that contains ink + watercolour illustrations of the many unique elements that give Lisbon its identity. The book has been organized by themes, from the unmistakable symbols and famous figures to the daily dishes and impressive architecture.
I have used Portuguese throughout the book as (I hope!) the visuals can translate easily into any other language and even help one in picking up the Portuguese tongue.

About the author
I am a Greek-Malaysian Illustrator-Graphic Designer based in Lisbon. I was born in Athens but left at the age of 5 for Hong Kong and later on to Malaysia, Oman and Australia. While backpacking in 2010, I dropped by Lisbon to visit my brother who was studying here. 6 years later and I am still here!
I completed my Bachelor's in Communication Design in Melbourne, Australia. My biggest passion (tied with eating and traveling) has always been illustrating by hand. I do like the CTRL+Z function in digital design.
Making this book was on my mind for a long time, and I finally got started in my free time almost 2 years ago. It has been a slow and steady process but hopefully the ending will be fruitful!
