Edition of the photopoems book «Na curva do tempo» ("On the time curve"), by José Miguel Oliveira, award winning amateur photographer, with a path career in photojournalism, and a poet (author of the book «duas faces do mesmo silêncio - "Two Sides of the Same Silence").
Sharing and merging.
Yes, those are the words that best define this editorial project.
Fusion, because we speak of a symbiosis between photography and poetry, in which the two feed on each other, are completed and thus are rebuilt and reinvent. Could there be one without the other? Yes, they could. But it would not be the same.
Sharing, because art does not make sense just by itself, it cohabited. Art only exists when appropriated by others, those who read it and, only then the process is completed. Without a screen to be projected, the image bursts into the ether. Just as a word is lost in the void, without propagation, If there is no one to listen to it and give it meaning.
In the movie "The Postman of Pablo Neruda", the postman tells the poet that poetry is not written by whoever uses it, but by who needs it and appropriates it.
Well, here's a good motto for editing this book! Thank you.
Note: The crowdfunding campaign aims to ensure the necessary funds for the revision of the text, pagination and printing of 500 copies of the book; as well as for the cover design, back cover and production of the promotional material.
