As lovers and beer drinkers it is our perception that is possible to produce a distinct beer and become more than a simple act of drinking beer, an experience for the palate.
The idea
This project was born on a hot summer day, we decided to purchase a starter kit and get our "hands on". The curiosity was too much, but the passion quickly became larger. The first productions and opinion of friends gave us the motivation we needed to decide to move forward with this project. We have named this project “5 e meio” because it was the alcohol volume of the first production. It becomes our mission to produce the best beer available in the market, of high quality and different from other ones.
Our beer
Our current production has the main goal of improving the production process, as well as, investigating and developing new beer types/flavours. We are producing just for ourselves, friends and family. The beer type that we are producing is wheat beer, but we are testing other kinds of beer, hoping that they can be ready for consumption as soon as possible, like:
- Vienna Lager (a tasty and clean pilsner)
- Stout (dark beer with a dense foam and lots of protein)
- BarleyWine (a premium beer, with high alcohol content, exclusive taste and aged to be served)
Distribution and commercialization
Since we are not yet a formally company, our products had been advertised with friends, on the facebook and on our website. We are having some orders outside of our friendship circle, however, we are limited by our production capacity.
Concerning distribution, we are making some contacts with retailers of our geographical area that are showing some interest to start a commercial partnership. It is our goal to explore this opportunities on the short term, and the crowdfunding would, certainly, push up and stabilize our production methods.
