BEASTS is the story of Lucas, a 12 year-old boy that tries to apply his revenge to the men that abuses her mother, in exchange for a miserable life. For this mission, he drags his friend Rita with him.

When Rita's safety is threatened, Lucas abandons her and puts himself in the hands of a bigger predator - Cruz, Rita's brother. In a jungle of beasts, the cowards are the most wanted preys.

About the author

The creative mind behind BEASTS is its director, Rui Neto. A boy that grew up in places that truly deserve to be capture in film. His directing skills have already been recognized in our University, by winining last year's award for "Best Short-film" of the 2nd year with "Rastos de Pó" (Dust Track).

Budget and due dates

O nosso principal objectivo é aplicar este montante em deslocações e alojamento de equipa técnica e artística, tal como no transporte do equipamento necessário. Apenas desta forma será possível utilizarmos este espaço que consideramos funcionar como uma das personagens do filme. As rodagens de BESTAS estão marcadas para os dias 16 a 20 de Maio. A estreia do filme será feita durante a terceira semana de Julho de 2014, numa gala de projecção dos produtos finais na Sala Manoel de Oliveira, no Cinema São Jorge. Depois desta data, acreditamos que BESTAS iniciará o seu percurso pelos festivais nacionais.
