The book “Shelters with cave paintings of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro: Pala Pinta, Penas Róias and Cachão of Rapa” corresponds to the study of three shelters cave, located in Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro. This work has as objective understand some of the relations of the communities synchronies with the cave shelters.
Rock art is a testimony of individual and/or collective actions developed within a particular location, revealing aspects of the lives of the communities that produced them, mainly their possible religious beliefs.
This book is the result of the master's thesis in Archeology.
Will be published by publishing house Lema D´Origem.
Intend reach with this work, the preservation and dissemination of our Heritage. Having been classified in this year, the shelter cave Pala Pinta, as a site of public interest. It is a most valuable asset to disclose the heritage left by our ancestors, real memories that, in part, have survived the passage of time.
The Crowdfunding emerges as a possibility to make public this work by giving the possibility of knowing local majestic full of mystery.
With about 180 pages, bound with hard-cover, very illustrated, in which are represented photographs of places, their location, the signs and the testimony of material culture.
The edition of this book expense 2100euros by that author looking to recruit at least 500 euros for that, can contribute to the publication with the publisher.
The first edition of the book "Shelters with cave paintings of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro: Pala Pinta, Penas Róias and Cahão of Rapa”, will have 150 copies.
