The project "Photojournalism in the Santiago neighborhood" was one of the initiatives created within the framework of civic labor and consists of the idea of putting children and young people to photograph their neighborhood.
A group of citizens of Aveiro, made up of professionals from various areas (urbanism, architecture, design, technology, teaching and research, among others), who decided to move forward with a civic laboratory in the Santiago district of Aveiro. The neighborhood of Santiago is the largest social district of Aveiro and its residents have faced several challenges since its creation, such as integration in society, interculturality, discrimination and scarcity of economic resources. The project "Photojournalism in the Santiago writing" was one of the initiatives created within the framework of civic labor and consists of the idea of putting children and young people to photograph their neighborhood.
