Livros de Ontem is pleased to present you the book "Contexturas", with paintings by Armanda Alves "illustrated" by the stories of Luísa Fresta.
"Contexturas" includes reproductions of canvases by Armanda Alves, a plastic artist with a vast work made public through numerous exhibitions, individual and collective, inside and outside its first frontiers: Angola and Portugal. Luísa Fresta, an artist and cultist of the word, follows the form of the colored footprints to retell these constructions according to her own intuition. From the screens were born stories, some of which have become almost autonomous, while remaining connected to the matrix figure through an indissoluble cord. Just as the pictures imply a shared logic, so too do the histories, no matter how disparate they may seem, have a mathematical link to them.The color, the line, the relief and the texture thus join the story to bring you a palpable universe where art is confused with the fragility of the human condition: through these lines we fly affections, restlessness, memories, betrayals, people's destinies Banal exposed to unique circumstances, in a dynamics of its own that is intended rhythmically, like life; Sometimes we touch the horror, the fantastic and the humor, the tenderness of the unsaid, the obsessive violence of the silences and the pitch of the words. "Contexturas" is meant to be a book of fusion of tales and textures, in which all languages converge to the eyes of the readers.
