Livros de Ontem publisher is pleased to present "The Good Victim", the second book of Hugo Picado de Almeida.
Mr. Clastres was a modern man. Let us rephrase: the most modern of Men. With no desire or ambition, no desire of any kind, he wanted nothing more than to slip into the house, sheltering from the ocean of stimuli, and indulging in the anesthesizing comforts of the electric appliances buzzing around him. Mr. Clastres was traveling around the world without representing any benefit to the life around him, oblivious of all its aspects, and perhaps one could even say that it did not weigh on the earth, were it not for the difficult relation that the other passers- Street with R maintained with that guy who in check put their lives. One day, however, the treadmill that Mr. Clastres uses every day to move to work stops him from doing it, and that impossibility suddenly tearing the field of his mental statistics sets in motion the betrayal of technique, which quickly culminates in The imprisonment of Mr. Clastres, an individual that society and its institutions obviously could not understand, and thus end up sealing their destiny. Among all this, we crossed paths with Bela, an ugly and always watchful woman at her window, spying on the street; With the disconcerting Mrs. Kopecky, "hybridization between witch and owl, an ageless woman"; With Lora Brunell, a seductive young woman who harvests the ground to Mr. Ortabecassuz, neighbor of Mr. Clastres and his sentimental opposite, who lately comes to take the place of the first in the plot, returning the Clastres to the world and Humanism to the book.NOTE: The book has the value of 14€ during crowdfunding campaign and 16€ after closing the same.
