APEF Social - Heart Disease Screening and Charity Km's for "Maratona da Saúde"

On the 20th of november, APEF travelled to Castelo Branco to perform a free heart disease screening to the eldery population of this city. This action also entended to start this fundraising to support Maratona da Saúde on its mission to create awareness and fund the scientific reseach on heart diseases, in Portugal.

On the 20th of november, APEF travelled to Castelo Branco to perform a free heart disease screening to the eldery population of this city. This action also entended to start this fundraising to support Maratona da Saúde on its mission to create awareness and fund the scientific reseach on heart diseases, in Portugal.

Everyone who engaged on our event, was invited to run or walk on our treadmill, to generate awareness on the importance role that physical activity plays in the prevention of heart disease.

Now our main goal is to raise 20 euros for every kilometer reached on this treadmill.   

About the author

APEF is the Portuguese Pharmacy Students' Association, wich represents the more the future portuguese pharmacists. 

Maratona da Saúde it's an association who intends to fundraise the scientific research in health matters, in Portugal. Every year the focus of this project goes to a new area of treatments, in the present year the heart diseases were the chosen health problem .
