Omeletas Sem Ovos, a portuguese traditional cooking style book in a vegan version, we mean without ingredients of animal origin (meat, fish, eggs, dairy, honey, etc.).

"Omeletas Sem Ovos – sabores tradicionais veganos" wants to prove that is possible to have a greedy culinary without either the useless sacrifice of sentience beings or the increase of the ecological footprint.

This book shall be a reflex of the ethical concerns of all members of the team and at the same time a reference in design and photography.

Therefore, it was resisted by ANIMAL Association, a printer company with quality and environment concerns was searched and a chlorine free paper of responsible and certified origin will be used.

The book includes also links for videos showing the execution of each recipe and for a forum where people can share their experiences and enrich the recipes with comments and suggestions.

About the author

Maria Aragão in her personal way felt the necessity of adapting the Portuguese traditional recipes to vegan reality.

In order to share those new skills, began to minister cooking workshops with no products of animal origin which have been a success.

In that context, she has been challenged to write down some of the product of her experiences. For that, a team of people with the same ethical concerns was organized.

The elements of this team are from different professional areas and offered their work at several levels (editorial managing, design, photography, video, informatics) contributing this way for cutting down considerably on general charges. However, in order to make this project come true, we need your support to print the first edition of the book in a printer with environment concerns. The book is almost paginated, the videos of the recipes are at final edition and we want to print it in September, so this book can be available in time as a Christmas gift for those who have vegetarian friends or for the vegetarians to offer the reluctant ones. Obs: Postage for the rest of Europe: 5€
