Hello! My name is Nadia and my life is all about giving wings to my imagination: I'm a writer, storyteller, actress, and clown. If you've ever crossed paths with me on stage, at a school, or in a library, you've probably heard a familiar melody or seen a very talkative felt puppet jumping around the set.
The Talkative Cat was my first children's book. A project born from a dream, it took flight into the world, gained recognition and awards. But the Cat quickly realized that his place wasn't just to be confined between pages…
This story also became a musical puppet show that brought magic to stages, schools, and dozens of children. And that's where something special happened: at the end of each session, parents and children would approach and ask about the book.
Since the first edition sold out long ago, the book is no longer available, and the Cat has fallen silent, waiting to return.
Today, he's finally ready to return! But not as before. This will be a self-published edition, completely refined, with some new words and vibrant illustrations that will give this friendly cat a fresh new look.
Furthermore, this edition contains a very intimate piece of my heart: the story of the origins of Gato Tagarela and a tribute to my grandfather, the man who showed me the path of art. This book is my way of thanking him for the inspiration.

Nádia Pereira is a writer, artist, and creator of the Encantorium Studio universe.
It moves between children's literature, theater, music, clowning, and the creation of artistic experiences dedicated to childhood, seeking to build spaces where imagination, humor, and sensitivity walk side by side.
In 2013, she was awarded the Children's Literature Prize by Coisas de Criança magazine for her book O Gato Tagarela (The Talkative Cat), a work that would later gain a new life on stage, also becoming a musical puppet show in which she performs songs of her own composition, presented in schools and different cultural contexts.
Throughout her career, she has developed creative work in the areas of children's theatre, dramaturgy, storytelling and artistic creation for children, also assuming creative direction at the companies Mr. Milk and Encantorium Studio.
She has professional artistic training in Journalism from the Porto School of Journalism and artistic training in clowning and storytelling, areas that continue to influence the construction of her creative and performative work.
Among books, songs, puppets, and unlikely characters, she believes that art can be a place of encounter, memory, and transformation, where childhood continues to have space to dream. ✨
