Together for Boa Vista: Restoring the Multipurpose Pavilion and the Parish Council Building

Storm Kristin devastated the heart of Boa Vista. The Multipurpose Pavilion and the Parish Council Delegation suffered serious damage to their roofs, ventilated facades, and gate. The reconstruction of this vital space in Boa Vista is urgently needed!

The passage of Storm Kristin through our parish on January 28th left marks that time alone will not be able to erase. The extreme force of the wind tore off part of the ventilated facade—recently installed during renovation works—both on the Parish Council Delegation building and on the Boa Vista Multipurpose Pavilion.

We need to intervene urgently to restore the safety of everyone who uses these spaces. Our reconstruction plan focuses on five critical areas:

  • Access security: Installation of a new gate.
  • Weather protection: General roof inspection to eliminate leaks and make the building more resilient to future storms.
  • Structural rehabilitation: Preparation and repair of structures for the reapplication of the ventilated facade.
  • Exterior rehabilitation: Complete replacement of damaged facade areas.
  • Efficiency and Lighting: Restoration of the solar lighting system and installation of new streetlights in the surrounding area.

Despite the multiple damages recorded in various facilities in the parish, the Parish Council of Santa Eufémia and Boa Vista has prioritized the requalification of this complex. This is a vital community facility, essential for the dynamism of our associations and for the well-being of the population.

Your help will allow the following entities and activities to once again have their safe "home" for the development of some specific activities:

  • Associations and Groups: Festival Committee, Boa Vista Traditional Folk Group, Scouts, St. Vincent de Paul Conference, and Boa Vista Sports and Recreation Group.
  • Education: School activities in our community.
  • Senior Wellbeing: Physical activity and sports programs for the "Seniors +65" population.

Together, we will restore dignity to this space and ensure that Boa Vista continues to be a place of encounter and development for all generations.

We are counting on your support to rebuild Boa Vista!
