Acquisition of an electric van and its charger for use in the Home Support Service.
Our Home Support Service (SAD) originally had four vans, and the care home had one van intended for transporting residents to outings and external activities.
When one of the SAD vans broke down and was deemed unfeasible to repair, we were forced to use the nursing home's van to ensure the continuity of home support. However, this nine-seater van with a ramp is not suitable for the day-to-day work of the SAD: it is too large for narrow streets, consumes a lot of fuel, and not all staff members can drive it safely.
This temporary solution became unsustainable. We were no longer able to transport users to activities, medical appointments, or scheduled outings, compromising their well-being and autonomy. At the same time, the daily use of such a large van not only significantly increases fuel and maintenance costs but also raises the risk of accidents and environmental impact. This situation created constant financial pressure on our service, making it clear that acquiring a suitable van was urgent and essential to ensure the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our operations.
Without the financial means to immediately purchase a suitable van, we were forced to buy one in installments, creating significant pressure on our finances. The situation became critical, but necessary to ensure that essential services continued to reach those who need them most.
Our goal now is to secure the definitive acquisition of the van, freeing ourselves from loan payments and allowing the Home Support Service to operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably, guaranteeing dignified and adequate transportation for all our users.
Therefore, we need your support to acquire an electric van and its charger , replacing the van that broke down with a vehicle suitable for the Home Support Service. With your help, we can continue to provide all essential services and ensure that no user is left without support , guaranteeing safe, efficient and sustainable transport.
