Raising funds to make a dream come true: recording and publishing a Blues Album!
We need your help to record an album!!
After two years of working as a band, with appearances on stages such as Queima das Fitas de Coimbra, Arroios Blues Week and BB Blues Fest, we believe it is time to take the next step and record an album.
Not wanting money to be a limit to our art and seeking to maintain the quality we desire, we created this fundraising campaign to give friends, family and supporters of the blues the opportunity to contribute to the realization of a dream.
All support will be used for the following purposes:
1) Costs related to recording in a professional studio, with an experienced technician, over 5 days. (Price pre-agreed with technician )
2) Mastering and editing of recorded content (price pre-agreed with technician)
3) Promotion of the Album through the creation of video and photographic content, in addition to investment in social networks.
4) Costs that may arise as a result of this process (fuel and food, among others)

About the author
Blues band composed of four members: Pedro Balikó, António Gorjão-Henriques, Rafael Verde and Francisco Bouza Serrano (guitar, drums, bass, vocals/guitar). We play mainly originals but our concerts also include Blues standards.
We have some notable performances in the Blues area, namely:
1) At the BB Blues Fest , a Blues festival that featured several international names such as the Cinelli Brothers, John Primer and Bob Corritore, we also had the pleasure of going on stage with these artists in the Jam Session that followed.
2) At Arroios Blues Week , at BOTA (Toca das Artes Organized Base), which featured several Portuguese and International artists.
3) At a Blues Night at BB Blues Portugal, where we opened for the band Noa and the Hell Drinkers, winner of the 2023 European Blues Challenge.
Outside of the scope of Blues events, we played at various types of events and venues, highlighting bars such as MySpot at Nirvana Studios, parties such as Arraial de Alvalade or ContrabandIST and cultural spaces such as Com Calma.
Our most notable performance was on the 29th of June at the Queima das Fitas in Coimbra , where we were able to present Blues to a wider audience.
We perform for varying lengths of time. We usually have sets prepared for 30 minutes, 50 minutes or 1.5 hours or 2 hours, but we can extend them. We adapt our performance to the situation, having material for loud, upbeat music or more background and calm performances. We play mainly originals and blues/rock standards.
We also came second in the Zé Pedro Band Competition, where 10 bands participated, with a pre-selection among 40 bands that applied.
We aim to record this year to have something ready for release in 2025.
Budget and due dates
The fundraising will last the month of July, when we will record and start preparing everything so that the album is ready by 2025.
The costs already budgeted are as follows:
1 - Recording, editing and mastering
This work represents the majority of the budget and the price is pre-agreed with the technician Hugo Andrade, who was already the sound technician at a concert we gave.
2 - Video clip recording
Recording and production of one or more video clips to promote the songs to be released as singles.
3 - Promotion on social networks
A small part of the budget will be used to use advertising tools on social media, which is essential these days for promoting the project.
