Livros de Ontem publisher is pleased to present "The Great Book of the Body", a book in which the poetry of Bruno Torrão is at its maximum fullness with the photograph of Jordi Llorella Oriol.

Synopsis Our body is not only our physical boundary of all envelopment, as the point of entry and absorption of these same envelopes. Our image before everything that is not visible is the object of our actions, the bed of our wills. It is in this premise that The Great Book of the Body is founded, with a brief nuance of the main soul states, as a triad, from the outpouring to the depression, from joy to sadness, from nostalgia to the approach that bodies allow and generate, between a body Solitary confinement or the co-relation itself when joining two. Thus the white, black and red books, the poetry of Bruno Torrão will enable us to travel between the various points of soul states and relate to the most varied parts of our human body, as if it were a book of anatomy For the most diverse feelings. To contribute to the perception of theories we are faced with the practices, through the images that the artist and photographer Jordi Llorella Oriol decided to capture, based on the classicism of the texts of Bruno, the connection to the frames, also classic, using the basic nature and Source of life, the generator of each body.

About the author

Bruno Torrão
Bruno Torrão was born in Lisbon in 1982, but has always lived in Alverca do Ribatejo. Reveals his poetic facet at age 8. During his adolescence, when some of his poems were published in the school newspaper, he began to keep everything he wrote, although it is at the beginning of the new century that we can see a greater creation with a greater diversity in the work and consolidation of the Being-poetic, having taken a path of his own, where the centering of the body converges and the exacerbation of loss / nostalgia / disgust. He has participated in several groups of writers and poets, such as Creative Writing, in poetic anthologies, and more recently in Spoken words, where he has worked with Daniel Costa-Lourenço. Some of his texts can be visited online, in his page in the social network facebook, with the name Signo das Letras. There are also contributions to the anthologies "Here are poets - Poetry without drawers" from Pastelaria Studios Editora and "We poets, we edited III" from the publishing house Nós, Poetas, Editamos. Since 2012 he has participated in several events related to the declamation of poetry by the city of Lisbon, Alverca and Vila Franca de Xira. In September 2014, together with the writer and poet Daniel Costa-Lourenço and the photographer Marta Cruz, under the leadership of the Books of Yesterday, he published the book of poetry and photography Travelers, received with great enthusiasm before the public and reached the 2nd edition in less than half a year, and still had some activities with the publisher of this one.

Art commissioner Ludvig Himmler described it this way: "Jordi Llorella is a child who 30 years ago escaped from the backyard of his school and has not yet returned. A libertarian mammal who naively believes that the World of Fiction is the human condition above all things. I followed the trail for Colonias Menonitas, Chaco Boreal (Paraguay) when I was walking behind the remains of the Jesuit world in South America with black boxes that he called "his magic boxes" or directing the newspaper "La Sombra" in Yerevan (Armenia) or Filming the remains of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat (Turkey) or creating an Art Laboratory on Mamori Lake (Amazonas) ... "
