I'm Verónica Paiva, a biologist and passionate about the natural world. I wrote the book O Jardim da Avó Rosa inspired by my passion for nature, my childhood spent in my parents' herbalist's shop and the connection to the land that I cultivate with my children. This children's book talks about plants, affection and sustainability, and has been very well received by children and educators.
I want to take this story to more schools, libraries and children's events, promoting children's contact with nature in a fun and educational way. To do this, I need your help!
This campaign is intended to support the printing, distribution and activities carried out in schools from preschool to primary school, allowing more children to have access to reading and the practical activities that accompany the story. With your support, I can continue to visit schools and inspire children with the book's message: caring for the Earth starts with our hands.

About the author
I am Verónica Paiva, a biologist, specialist in Natural Cosmetics and Naturopathy, mother of two children and a tireless fighter. In 2004, I entered university to study Biology. I had to work to pay for my degree — nothing was given to me, and everything I achieved was through hard work, dedication and a lot of love for what I do.
I grew up in a herbalist's shop, where my connection with the natural world began. In 2015, I founded BioVó, a brand of artisanal natural cosmetics made with simple, local and sustainable ingredients, and in 2018, I legalized my studio, from where I send natural cosmetics every day to various homes and stores across the country. I also teach professional courses in Aesthetics, Massage and Hairdressing, where I share my knowledge and values with future professionals in the beauty and well-being sector.
In 2024, I fulfilled a long-held dream: I wrote my first children's book, O Jardim da Avó Rosa , inspired by childhood, plants and affection. Since then, I have taken this story to schools and events, where I organize educational activities that connect reading to nature.
With this campaign, I want to get the book to more children and schools, promoting a more conscious, sensitive and sustainable education. With your support, I can continue to spread seeds of change – one story at a time.

Muito obrigada pelo teu apoio! A campanha foi totalmente financiada, acabei por fazer uma contribuição a mim própria para que não fosse tudo devolvido, por isso embora não tenha conseguido o valor que necessitava, ainda irei conseguir ir a algumas escolas! A BioVó vai de férias agora até dia 26, após essa data irei vos contactar para entregar as recompensas conforme o vosso apoio (livros e cursos)! Olá! Antes de mais muito obrigada pelo teu apoio!
A campanha está quase a chegar ao fim (termina na quinta), mas pedi um prolongamento de mais uma semana até dia 7 de agosto, vamos ver se é aceite! Se não conseguir o resultado total, tudo será devolvido, o que é desanimador para mim, mas ao menos vocês irão receber o valor de volta.
