Homosexuality is a natural expression of being. The LGBT struggle is for respect, love and equality. It is not a disease, but part of human diversity. Supporting and combating prejudices and valuing lives, building a more just and inclusive society.

"Help tell a story of courage, love and struggle."

Homosexuality is still a subject surrounded by challenges and prejudices in many parts of the world. My story is a personal journey that reflects what thousands of people in the LGBT community face every day: the weight of judgment, the search for acceptance and the desire to be seen as we really are.

Writing this book was a way to give voice to these stories, which are often silenced, and to show that, despite the difficulties, love always prevails. With your support, I can make this project a reality and share with the world a narrative that can inspire, excite, educate and transform.

Your support isn’t just a contribution to a book – it’s a contribution to a future where diversity is celebrated and where all people can live their lives fully and without fear. Together, we can make this dream a reality.

About the author

Hugo Varanda: A Voice for Diversity and Inclusion

Hugo Varanda was born in 2001, in the quiet parish of Amora, located in the municipality of Seixal, Portugal. From an early age, his life was marked by simplicity and strong family ties, being raised by his grandparents and mother, figures who played fundamental roles in his personal and cultural development. Hugo currently lives in the vibrant parish of Beato, in Lisbon, where he found inspiration and a space conducive to his creative expression and social engagement.

From a young age, Hugo demonstrated a keen sensitivity to social issues, especially those related to acceptance and equality. Driven by his experiences and the desire to contribute to a more just society, he decided to use writing as a tool for transformation. Inspired by the stories of struggle and resilience of LGBTQI+ people in Portugal, he found the prejudice that still exists around homosexuality to be a central theme for his works.

In his first publication, Hugo presents a narrative that reflects not only his worldview, but also his passion for the fight for rights and representation. With an engaging and authentic style, his stories seek to awaken empathy, break down barriers and open space for important dialogues about love, identity and acceptance.

In addition to being a writer, Hugo is a fervent defender of LGBTQI+ rights. His work goes beyond written words, embracing actions and speeches that promote equality and inclusion. He believes in the transformative power of literature and sees his work as an extension of his fight for a more welcoming and understanding society.

With humility and determination, Hugo Varanda has established himself as an important voice in contemporary Portuguese literature. His commitment to LGBTQI+ issues promises to mark not only this inaugural work, but also the books to come, always full of purpose and courage. Hugo aspires not only to entertain, but also to inspire and educate, reaffirming the role of art as an instrument of social change.
