The Association of Improvements and Social Welfare of Pias is a Private Social Solidarity Institution, constituted by public deed of October 21, 1993, legal person No. 503142425, headquartered in Pias, Ferreira do Zêzere, of a municipal scope, registered under No. 17/95 on pages 33, 10/04/1995, in Book 6 of the Social Solidarity Associations and registered in the Union of IPSS under no. 1468, pursuing the objectives of charity, social assistance and cultural purposes.
This Association has several services among which stand out:
- Reception Center for Children at Risk; (12 children from 12 to 20)
- Home Support Service; (50 users)
- Day Center (14 users)
- Social Centers; (180 users)
- Senior University; (51 users)
- Family Support Component. (32 users)
- Leisure Activity Center (52 users)
- Social Canteens (18 users)
This institution is also part of the municipality's Social Network as well as the Social Integration Center and the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth, located in Dornes (Ribeirinha Village finalist of the 7 Wonders of Portugal) in the country, employs 42 people and counts With 11 volunteers, we want to keep this institution running, we want to continue to provide employment, but for that we need financial sustainability, which today has been a major difficulty. We count on the help of all to give our young and old people quality of life and to break the cycle of poverty and social exclusion.
Regarding the goods we would like to receive, in addition to money, we would like to receive: Skills and material goods. Regarding competencies we would appreciate the collaboration of marketing and digital communication expertise to help us with the dissemination of the work we do and the sponsorship of patrons (which never reach the interior). In the case of goods, we receive adolescent and adult clothing and footwear, as well as food and non-food goods (in good condition, eg: household appliances;). Cleaning and personal care products, adult and child diapers.

Budget and due dates
We would like to do work at the Temporary Care Center for at-risk children, move the roof, build a clean kitchen, fix the floor and put up windows and doors for energy efficiency) - for that we would need € 80,000 to use from January to December 2020.
In order to complete the construction of the Nursing home in order to provide financial sustainability for this project to grow and not die, and to continue to employ our 52 employees, we need € 1,000,000 to be applied from January 2021 to December 2023.
