At Rede Cuidas we believe that the senior should have the option of staying at home with decent living conditions! Join us!
Did you know that the main cause of accidental death among the elderly Portuguese is the fall? The loss of mobility and poor housing conditions are worrying and a life-threatening phenomena for the +65 years old population. What can you do to prevent this?
Rede Cuidas is an innovative project that aims to address the architectural and service limitations of the elderly population of Lousã, a predominantly rural territory and where aging and loneliness are strongly felt. We argue that the senior should have the right to decide to stay at home and, therefore, should be supported in the construction of an adapted and personalized plan for their aging, to guarantee the conditions of human dignity, health, well-being and safety, thus delaying or avoiding its institutionalization.
To this end, Rede Cuidas comes to challenge you to join us in this initiative for the dignity of the elderly as having the right to decide about their lifestyle! Therefore, if the senior wants to stay at home, adaptations to their dwellings will be necessary so that, in a co-constructed manner with the beneficiary and their family, it is possible to guarantee safety and well-being conditions, avoiding risks and promoting autonomy of older people in their daily lives. Your contribution will result in the purchase of material for the homes of the beneficiaries of this project.
Join Rede Cuidas for a decent life!
