We need your help to reach more people in situations of socio-geographic vulnerability, without the possibility of integrating our face-to-face services and without access to new means of communication.
EM'Community represents the relationship between People with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), integration and new technologies.
The Portuguese Society for Multiple Sclerosis (SPEM) is requesting support to reach more people with Multiple Sclerosis in a situation of socio-geographic vulnerability, without the possibility of integrating face-to-face services - essential for the good management of their disease - and without access to new means of communication.
EM'Comunidade is prepared to, through a multidisciplinary team, provide cognitive stimulation, meditation, physical exercise, physiotherapy and social support services to people with MS, through new technologies and digitally. All these services are considered essential for the proper management of the pathology.
We intend to transform the inaccessible into accessible, contributing to socio-digital inclusion and digital citizenship. Furthermore, we have evidence based on past experience that digital makes the lives of People with MS more proactive and contributes to lessening social isolation.
We want to support more people with MS by ensuring quality responses, regardless of their geographic location.
In this sense, the EM'Comunidade campaign aims to raise IT equipment and monetary funds that enable the virtual connection of 50 people with Multiple Sclerosis, in a situation of social isolation and info-exclusion.
⚠️ We need €10,000 to make 50 tablets available to 50 people with MS and, in this way, ensure that everyone is united, healthier and MS Community.
? SPEM is present from north to south of the country and islands, contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), family members and caregivers.
