The arrival of a sailboat with mysterious crew members to an island, awakens in Rodrigo, a young 14 years kid, his first passion.

On an island, somewhere in the Atlantic, Rodrigo, spends much of his time on the quay. The arrival of a vessel with mysterious crew causes him a strong curiosity about a new way of life and the awakening of a first passion. Now, Rodrigo wants to belong to that boat and be one of them. Free. Estranho Doce Lar is a coming of age movie about the issues of growth. Rodrigo is not aware that he lives isolated, but there is a feeling that weighs on his chest and becomes suffocating, without him being able to explain its origin and reason. Insularity intensifies the desire for freedom that comes with the process of growth and maturity of the boy.

When was the last time you watch a Portuguese movie? Yeah... You do not remember, do you? But it's never too late to change! We are trying to make a film, which also happens to be our Cinema Degree final project at Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, so we need your help!
