Fundraising for i3DMT - 3D Printing Medium Tejo, continue to produce visor for donation to institutions in the Middle Tejo region.

I3DMT - 3D Printing Médio Tejo consists of a group of 34 volunteers from the Middle Tejo region, with different technical skills, who came together with the objective of giving a quick answer to the needs of personal protective equipment available in the market felt by the various entities of the region, in this Covid-19 pandemic crisis, through the production of visors and other materials through 3D printing.

We have been producing this equipment through the financial effort of each volunteer and some individual donations that have been emerging. Having reached a point where it is unaffordable for volunteers to continue to spend their monetary resources in the production of these materials, we need your support, however small it may be. We need to purchase acrylics, 3D printer filament, buttonhole elastic and PETG sheets.

As of today, 04/24, we have already distributed more than 4000 visors in the Médio Tejo region and we intend to continue doing so because there are still many orders.

We count on your solidary support to continue helping those who help us.

Thank you.

About the author

I3DMT - 3D Printing Médio Tejo consists of a group of 34 volunteers from the Médio Tejo region, with different technical skills, who volunteered to help teams and institutions in combating the Covid pandemic19. These volunteers make their knowledge, time and 3D printers available for the production of various equipment essential to the pandemic in the Middle Tejo region.

This group has a variety of volunteer people with extensive knowledge of the region's reality as well as the existing institutions and as such allows the equipment to be delivered to those who really need it and will use it. With this we have achieved an excellent optimization of resources.

Budget and due dates

The amount raised is directly applied to the purchase of consumables for the construction of protective visors, namely: 3D printing filament, acrylic and PETG sheet.

The purchase of consumables is immediate and depending on the production of the volunteers. With the requested amount, we expect to be able to produce around 1500 more visors.
