Master Thesis: mission possible!

After so much effort and dedication, I am just a few steps away from realizing my dream of finishing my Masters degree, but I face the challenge of paying the outstanding tuition fees.

• For career reasons and in an attempt to gain a little more financial comfort, I enrolled in a Master's in Special Education - cognitive and motor domain. Due to the expenses, which I had to bear alone for over 20 years, I let the amount of my Master's tuition fees accumulate. At the same time, my daughters were studying at the University and they were a priority. The amount of debt I accumulated does not allow me to submit and defend my Master's Thesis. And I cannot do it without help.
• My thesis is about "The role of IPI technicians in the interface with the school: the collaborative consultancy model" and I intend to disseminate its content in the educational community. Collaborative consultancy is a current and transversal approach to everything that involves inclusive practices in schools. Araújo and Almeida (2014) refer to collaborative consultancy as a response in terms of inclusion, defining it in this perspective as a partnership between teachers. The funds will be used to pay overdue tuition fees.
• With your help, this mission will be possible! Each contribution will bring me closer to the diploma that will open doors for me to a better future. Together, we can make this dream a reality.

About the author

I am Anabela, 55 years old, mother of 3 children, two of whom are adults and have completed their Master's degrees, and one of whom is still a minor, studying in the 9th grade. I am a Kindergarten Teacher. I have a degree in Educational Sciences - Teacher Training. I am a Special Education Specialist - Cognitive and Motor Skills. I am the Coordinator of a Local Early Intervention Team. I have a degree in Speech Therapy, not finhished. I am an advocate for inclusive schools.

Budget and due dates

I need €1,500 to pay the outstanding tuition fees for the Master's Degree in Special Education, Cognitive and Motor domain, at the University of Algarve. I need this amount by December 2024 so that I can enroll now and submit my Thesis, to be defended within the calendar year of 2025. If I only get the money later, it's okay, because I will enroll as soon as I have paid off the debt and in accordance with the enrolment calendar.
