Children's book:
I have a physical disability called spinal muscular atrophy II, which has confined me to a wheelchair my entire life. but I never let myself go. It is from small that being is built. We want to show people that limits only exist for those who make them.
My cousin and I wrote/launched a book for children in January, in which the main character is me, a book with the aim of raising awareness among the little ones in a subtle and fun way.
Works like this are important to educate people not only about pathologies that they may not know about or have never witnessed, but also how to deal with them, how to deal with those who have them. That's the real adventure of Ricky and his friends. It's not a football game, or a museum visit, or the mystery of how an arrow ended up in the playground. The adventure is their friendship, their dynamics, the way they manage, in one way or another, to do everything they want despite each one's limitations and personalities.
This book already has 2 editions but, like everything in life, it needs funds to continue, to have a 3rd edition. We want to continue our mission.
