Help us skate to the European Championship!

Clube Patinagem do Sado qualifies for the European Championship after a brilliant participation in the National Show and Precision Championship. Now we need your support. Help us make our athletes' dream come true: competing in an European Championship!

The National Show and Precision Championship took place on May 28 and 29 in Fafe, a competition promoted by the Portuguese Skating Federation, after two years in which it did not take place due to the pandemic.

Clube Patinagem do Sado was represented at an excellent level with 35 athletes divided into 6 groups in various categories of the competition, obtaining several podiums and excellent classifications:

A very special thank you to the athletes' families, who with all their financial and logistical support and their fantastic energy made such an important victory possible.

With these results, CPS guaranteed with 3 teams the participation in the European Show and Precision Championship, which will take place in Italy, from the 6th to the 10th of July. The burden of such a competition is high and it is the parents who sponsor and make the dreams of these athletes possible.

We hope, wish and appeal to everyone to help us with the support we need to carry forward the European dream that these athletes on merit and in their own right deserve to realize, taking the name of Portugal and Setúbal across borders!

About the author

Clube Patinagem do Sado (CPS) is a non-profit sports association, created on the 1st of July 2004. Its objective is to promote sport, train athletes and develop the practice of Figure Skating.

Clube Patinagem do Sado (CPS) currently has around 100 athletes in different age groups. From Initiation to Seniors, distributed by Initiation, Pre-Competition, Competition and Show training groups. The CPS encourages and promotes the experience of ethical values in the practice of sports that will be reflected in the future experience of each of the athletes, through the passion for Figure Skating.

Budget and due dates

The total cost is around €10,000.

Including the registration fee for the competition, plus the cost of the flight, accommodation, transport and food on the days of the competition. The Championship will take place from the 6th to the 10th of July 2022.

15 athletes and technical team will represent Portugal with immense pride. Therefore, we ask for your cooperation. If we raise €4000 and removing the PPL commission €369 we get €3631. So if we divide by the number of athletes 3631/15= 240€ per athlete, thus charging the cost of the flight.

The deadline is the 1st of July.
