Olivais em Férias + is a holiday program for young people with disabilities, where education through art and culture, sports and environmental components play a fundamental role in the development of new personal and social skills.
The primary goal of Parents in Network-Association is to guarantee the rights of people with disabilities and their families. The lack of differentiated and adequate responses to each situation places many families in a situation of psychological distress, economic deprivation and social vulnerability, since they are full-time caregivers, thus not being able to develop a work activity. The Olivais Vacation + Program aims to fill a gap in the community by creating a leisure response appropriate to the inclusion of people with disabilities. The implementation of this project aims to respond to the needs of families of children and young people with disabilities, providing more time for parents or guardians to meet their own needs, as well as increasing the well-being and quality of life of impact on the children and young people covered by the project. In this way, the involvement of local support networks, parish councils and the entire surrounding community is fundamental for the development of projects that are inclusive and respect the principle of diversity, as well as allow the rest of the caregiver. We need everyone's help to support this project and thus enable all children and young people to benefit from this project, regardless of their social status.
