So that the beneficiaries, with acquired brain injury, of Lisbon and Porto, can continue their activities in 2023, we really need your support for the cost of transport, otherwise the project will not continue.

The "live again" project was created in 2019 with 3 goals:

  • Provide people with traumatic brain injury or other acquired brain damage, experiences of rebuilding an active life, with activities appropriate to their type of interests;
  • Foster social integration skills, self-confidence, proactivity, autonomy and improve the quality of life of people with acquired brain damage;
  • Combating caregiver burnout of people with acquired brain damage

We need support to pay for the transport of the beneficiaries from Lisbon and Porto for adapted sports activities (golf, padel, tennis, rowing, sailing), therapies, cognitive activities or visits abroad, which take place three times a week and bring a extremely positive impact for the person and his caregivers .

WE COUNT ON YOU TO NOT LET THIS PROJECT DIE :

Objective : €12,500 to pay for transport from Lisbon and Porto to the activities, in the 1st half of 2023

For whom : Beneficiaries with acquired brain injury

Location : Lisbon and Porto districts

Support and spread the word, help us fill the vans with beneficiaries!

About the author

Novamente Association was born at the hands of Luiz, Father of Luís Miguel who, one afternoon while playing equestrian polo, falls from his horse, causing him a serious traumatic brain injury at the age of 29. Their lives were put on hold for not finding answers for what would be a new life for the whole family.

Thus, he joined family, friends and doctors linked to the problem of traumatic brain injury and, in 2010, created the "Novamente Association – Support for Traumatic Brain Injury and their Families", with the aim of bringing answers to this target audience.

Today, "novamente" is a national reference entity, which supports around 500 families per year (including other acquired brain injuries), through various services.
