WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP to pay the debt for treatments for street animals at the Pedras Rubras Veterinary Clinic!
Mr. António was an 88-year-old man who fed and cared for 80 stray cats on the streets of Porto every day. Unfortunately, he passed away in March 2021 and today his legacy continues to be carried on by Mr. Fernando and there are currently more than 100 stray cats...
The aim of this campaign is to pay the outstanding bills at the veterinary clinic for sterilizations and treatment of animals that appear in the colonies we protect and in cases where we are asked for help and cannot say no even though we do not have the means to pay for the treatment. These are animals that live on the streets and that we feed. At the moment, we feed around 100 street cats every day.
Unfortunately, nowadays it is easier to pass the buck to someone else and that is why we often end up with very high bills, because people ask for help for an animal in distress and then don't want to know any more...
About the author
We are Vânia Dias and Mr. Fernando. Two people with a common passion: animals! I have been actively supporting the animal cause for over 12 years. I try to help the animals that we come across and have already sterilized over 1000 animals and put over 350 animals up for adoption. Mr. Fernando is following Mr. António's legacy and walks the streets of Porto and Campanhã every day to feed over 100 street cats.
In 2024 alone we have already helped 47 animals!! We do all this on a private basis. We are not an association!
It is very difficult to do all this on a private basis, but it is undoubtedly very rewarding to know that we have saved a life or provided a better life.
Budget and due dates
At this moment, our goal is to pay off at least half of the debt at the Pedras Rubras Veterinary Clinic (not including other bills), which is currently €4,002.70 (value as of 21/11/2024, as you can see in the email) , so that we can continue to feed, capture, sterilize and treat all these animals. Every day we receive requests for help... We are not an association... we are just simple individuals who cannot know that there is an animal suffering... You can confirm the truthfulness with the clinic. You can come to the field and see for yourself!
