Currently we have a host response for men only and very soon we will open a house to welcome 12 women, considering the type of rehabilitation activities we currently have, it is unattractive for women so we have the intention of creating a space of occupation, therapy and reuse of materials The objectives: Our application to PPL is related to the need to purchase materials to guarantee the functionality of our workshop. This atelier has as main purposes: - Reapprove clothing, furnishings, decorating and recycling materials for confection of handicraft pieces. - Promote recycling of materials. - To occupy the free time of our users - Empowering them by teaching them craft and sewing techniques. - Encourage work habits, compliance with norms and schedules. - Increase the self-esteem of our users. - create sellable parts that can help our livelihood, since through our daily work in the occupational activities we seek to be self sufficient, as well as with the help of some companies and individuals that allow us to not only keep our doors open , but also to continue to thrive in our work. In return for your generous contributions, we promise to offer a small piece made by our users.

About the author
Associação Bettel, a non-profit institution dedicated to restoring lives through its street projects and centers of reception and rehabilitation where entry is immediately and totally free, without any kind of burden for the family. The Bethel Association has its social work recognized in 24 countries, in the city of Porto, since 1996 we have been providing free support to young victims of serious social problems such as drug addiction, alcoholism and homelessness. You can get to know our social work better in our presentation video at www.betelportugal.org. We welcome and provide care in a residential regime of immediate and totally free access to various groups at risk of social exclusion, namely: drug addiction, alcoholism and homelessness. It is an internal program free of drugs, alcohol, tobacco or other toxic substances, seeking a healthy life with the development of the following actions: moral and social support, health care, legal support and guidance on social resources. Our activities are based on occupational therapy in order to restore each user to self-esteem, to regain moral values, work habits and personal hygiene and health care. The activities are: maintenance of the reception center, fulfilling the norms of this, where hygiene and mutual respect prevail, we hold meetings where we practice the Christian faith, we collect, restore and sell used furniture, clothes, etc., we do works of painting, masonry, cleaning, restoration of furniture and changes, as well as leisure and sports activities.
