Book offer Horticulture Guide for children to 1st cycle students

The purpose of this campaign is to produce and offer a book on Horticulture to the students of a school, which has been developing a School Garden.

My name is Stephanie Fonseca, I am an Environmental Education teacher at a basic school in Sesimbra. I have been developing a school garden with around 250 children from 7 to 10 years old. Over the course of the activities, I have felt the need for them to have a guide who can accompany them in the gardens they have been developing in their homes. The questions are many, when do I change the vase, how many leaves do I have to have, how much water do I give...

As such, I am developing this same book and at the end of this 3rd period I would like to offer each of these children to continue this beautiful work linked to nature, agriculture (to help increase the taste for this area) and as a thank you for the work that it has developed.

Therefore, the time is not much, and the amount I need will be used to cover some expenses such as copyright of images and illustrations, subscription to editing and design services, printing the book.

I hope to be able to count on you in this cause that I consider important, as we must encourage our children on the one hand to learn in an external context and connected to the environment, and if it is not possible for you to donate please share, thank you for the ❤.

About the author

My name is Stephanie Fonseca, I am an Environmental Education teacher at a basic school in Sesimbra. Mother of a 7 year old boy who has always learned better outdoors and connected to nature and who has taught me a lot.

My self-education in relation to early childhood education in an outdoor context is one of my passions, I had the opportunity to embrace this project of teaching environmental education classes to children and that has filled me and made my ideas fly.

My basic training is in the area of performing arts and that gave me sensitivity and creativity to work with this age group.

The opportunity to end the school year and be able to offer each of my students a small agricultural guide would be something of great value to me but for each of these children certainly!
